I have tried and tried this but have not had success on my own. Maybe somebody out there has some knowledge... My friend and I are making blankets and pillows and things to our local Army base where we live. My friend has called and she has gotten the cold sholder from everyone that she has called. I even tried to call and got a BS answer like " I don't know what the guys would do with this kind of stuff." Seriously, there are girls in the military too and how does he know. Maybe some of them might like to know they are being thought of. We are going to try the Navy housing this week but the only problem is that it is in a bad part of town for us to go to at night. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know...

Try going to a local American Legion , Fleet Reserve or a VFW. Most likely someone there will be able to put you in touch with someone who can help you. Also hey have lists there of military familys in need as well as retired vets who may really appreciate the blankets

I THINK SHE IS TRYING TO GIVE THEM TO MILITARY ..ALTHOUGH THE MILITARY ALWAYS GIVES OUT THOSE GREEN BLANKETS .. NOT SO HOMEY , BUT THERE BLANKETS .. I THINK THATS WHAY SHE GOT THE REMATK SHE DID WHEN SHE TRIED TO GIVE THEM TO A BASE .. THEY WERE LIKE WHAT ARE WE TO DO WITH THEM .. I'm reading your post and I can't really understand what you want to do with these blankets. You need to clarify plans for these blankets and the purpose of giving them out. If your local base want take the blankets then get with your friends and take them to your local church,homeless shelter or women shelter. Rethink and go out of your community and give these blankets and care packets to someone who can use them right now.
